Responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.What you'll do Gathers, generates, and documents requirements through interviewing and facilitation Translates business functional and non-functional requirements into the appropriate Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), Process Flow Diagrams, and Business Scenarios and Rally ADO User Stories. Participates in the creation of the project artifacts (i.e. Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Defect Reporting Matrix) with the Project Manager (PM) Works collaboratively with customer and user groups, technical leads, development resources, engineers and architects and external project teams Applies all phases of Project Delivery Methodology Design, Plan, Create and End (DPaCE) Agile activities Works with the 3rd Party Vendors (e.g., Sabre, DXC, AOS, etc.) to design and deliver the approved solution Tests (Positive, Regression, Negative Impact, and No Harm) all new or enhanced software activations Tracks progress and provides project status reports according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff Acts as a business subject matter expert Assists with training of business operations office staff on use of system, business processes, and procedures Provides on-call application support (24 x 7 x 365), as required Travels domestically and internationally, as requiredAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience / training 3 years of relevant FOS system experience 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst Airline Industry experience Knowledge and experience FOS related Crew transactionsPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst 5 years of relevant FOS experience 3 years in any aspect of CREW Scheduling Tracker Crew watch / Crew recovery Planning Crew Comp Skills, Licenses & Certifications Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access) Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, technical specifications, and developing detailed system diagrams Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and use case development Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications Understanding of failover, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment Knowledge of SDLC, DPaCE, or Agile methodologies Experience with FOS, Rally, Planview, Fieldglass, Quality Assurance Testing Tools, and HP Quality Center (ALM) Broad understanding of crew operations or flight operations processes Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices Strong organization, planning, interpersonal, and negotiating skills Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills SQL experience is a plusWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer : Travel Perks : Ready to explore the world?
