What you'll do

Coordinate and manage all logistics activities, ensuring compliance with American Airlines transportation guidelines while fostering communication with stations, departments, carriers, and vendors.Support contract negotiations with freight carriers to secure favorable terms and conditions, enhancing service quality and cost efficiency.Monitor and assess vendor performance to ensure adherence to compliance standards and transportation guidelines.Report loss and damage claims and generate comprehensive reports on freight charges and services for various departments.Oversee budget expenses for Tech Ops departments, auditing invoices and evaluating carrier performance through scorecards.Conduct meetings with other departments to establish transportation guidelines for unique situations, ensuring seamless operations.Provide consulting and assistance to international stations, ensuring compliance with American Airlines and government regulations for shipping logisticsAll you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training / experience3 years of experience in import / export logistics compliance and negotiations with third-party logistics providers, or equivalent shipping logistics experience.Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and contract negotiation strategies.Experience in developing and implementing policy and procedure documentationProven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sceptre.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Collaborative team player with the ability to perform well under pressure.Familiarity with invoice auditing processes and filing claims.Willingness to participate in a 24 / 7 on-call rotation for after-hours and holiday support.Must possess or be willing to obtain a passportWilling to travel domestically and internationally as neededWhat you'll get
