- As Sr Manager, Benefits Performance and Execution, you’ll play a pivotal role on American Airline’s Benefits team within the People division. This role will lead the development of a benefits strategy that drives business success, influences senior leadership decisions, and shapes the future of employee offerings through data-driven insights and innovative solutions.

- Offer strategic recommendations based on data insights, market trends, cost efficiency, employee utilization, and competitive analysis to guide senior leadership in long-term planning and decision-making
- Serve as the subject-matter-expert on benefit plan initiatives advising leadership on the current state of benefits and proposed program enhancements, and working with internal and external partners ensuring successful project implementation outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams including internal and external stakeholders to execute business needs, complex high-risk corporate projects, and other ad hoc projects demonstrating a bias for action to deliver desired outcomes and ultimately drive a competitive advantage
- Manage initiative planning, negotiations, and contracting in partnership with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Benefits consultants.
- Perform deep dive analyses of benefits data, identifying trends and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic decisions and look back on effectiveness of current programs
- Conduct financial analysis on benefits initiatives/programs to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness
- Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and other materials to Senior Executives on a regular basis to discuss benefit plans and potential changes for multi-year annual enrollment cycles
- Manage a team of benefits professionals to deliver results through effective collaboration
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field
- 7 years of experience in role focused on benefits administration and management
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role, with a focus on team management and development
- 7 years of experience in a unionized environment, with a focus on benefits administration and management
- 5 years of experience managing a team, with a focus on leadership development and talent management
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation with healthcare providers and insurance companies
- Experience working in the airline industry, with a deep understanding of the business and operational environment
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications in benefits administration, such as CEBS or CBP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data analytics tools and software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a unionized environment, with a deep understanding of labor relations and collective bargaining agreements
- Strong business acumen, with experience driving strategic decisions and business outcomes
