American Alloy Steel, Inc is currently searching for a enthusiastic team player to fill the open position of an CNC Burn Operator in our Tulsa, OK office!
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role you will set up and operate plasma burn table machinery that automatically cuts steel plate.
- Identification of material thickness, grade, heat, slab & mill matches shop order.
- Review plate assignment against inventory in computer.
- Troubleshoot and correct faulty programming, or machine issues.
- Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence.
- Follow all safety rules and practices. Will be required to attend safety meetings and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for transferring markings from plate to product for trace-ability
- Inspect final quality and dimensional size of the cut
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to work Monday thru Friday
- Be available for overtime or weekend duty that may become available
- Plasma knowledge in order to make adjustments for materials used
- Knowledge of degrees of angles
- Proficient reading tape measures
- Understand Math, Fractions, and Decimals
- Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
- Serves as a team member
- Proficient at reading/interpreting blueprints and/or drawings
- Typically has 1-2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of steel grades
- Previous Experience cutting and beveling steel plate
