Position Summary
As a CNC Set-up Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our Machine Shop team by overseeing machine operations on the floor and providing essential hands-on support to operators.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up machines according to production schedules and job specifications.
- Install and align tools, fixtures, and materials on machines.
- Load and verify CNC programming using C-code or M-code.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to ensure optimal performance.
- Additional tasks assigned.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment (e.g., CNC, lathes, milling machines)
- Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide team members effectively.
- 2 to 5 years of CNC machining and set-up experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to read blueprints, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and CNC programming fundamentals.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
