We are looking for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe Operator that will be a part of the continuous improvement of AMACO. As CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines and equipment.

Responsibilities/What You Will Do
Our work environment offers on the job training and will include being on the manufacturing floor.
You must be able to work in hot environments and be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is expected for this position.
Education And Experience
High School Diploma, or Equivalent Required
1 year or more experience in a production environment Preferred

Responsibilities/What You Will Do
- Operate lathe for production of machined parts
- Monitor tool ware, product quality, and efficiency
- Stage and load raw materials
- Unload, containerize, and restage (deliver/storage) materials
- Operate other equipment to prep, produce, and/or finish parts and assemblies
- Moderate to heavy lifting required
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Crew Lead
- Manual Lathes & Mills -Axis
- CNC Lathes & Mills -Campbell
- CNC Routers -Haas
- Okuma -Mazak
- Safely operate lathes (and other power tools/equipment)
- Read and understand work instructions
- Reading and Comprehension Skills
- Use precision measuring devices and maintain standards
- Maintain efficiency standards to utilize machine capacity
- Quick response to machine changes via audible, visual, and vibratory observations
- Must be self-directed
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Time Management skills
- Organizational skills
- Effectively and accurately monitor product quality
- Ability to work in hot environments
- A test will be required to verify these qualifications\
