What will you be doing?
Under the direction of the VP of Education and CRCE Accreditation, the Director of Education will be responsible for the entire spectrum of national educational product offerings and services and acts as the crucial link between stakeholders (members, non-members, clients and customers) and administration for education-related topics.
This role spearheads the AARC's educational initiatives, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge programs for respiratory therapists. This includes crafting engaging curricula, managing educational content creation, and ensuring seamless delivery across various platforms.
Partnering closely with the VP, the Director of Education works to maintain national compliance and excellence in educational offerings. This involves conducting thorough quality assurance reviews, staying abreast of industry regulations, and implementing strategies to uphold the highest educational standards.
This critical position fosters partnerships to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate innovative educational programs. This involves leading curriculum development, managing educational partnerships, and measuring program effectiveness to enhance the AARC's standing in respiratory care education.
What education and experience are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in respiratory care or related field required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
- Five years of respiratory therapy-related clinical experience.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
- Familiarity with Continuing Education (CE) processes in a healthcare setting.
- Must possess critical thinking skills. Ability to problem solve and offer solutions where appropriate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Meticulous attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
