Position Purpose : The Online Learning Manager develops and executes online education product development strategies, facilitating the application of adult learning principles and compliance with ACCME, ANCC and ABIM MOC guidelines. Working closely with the Director of Global Learning and Professional Development, the Online Learning Manager serves as a key member of the staff and volunteer team who plan and implement AACE’s Online Education programs. The position also facilitates instructional design and assessment plans, keeps up to date on emerging technologies and authoring tools to support innovative online education products, and collaborates with key stakeholders to reach desired educational outcomes.
What You Do
- Using e-learning authoring tools, video conferencing, and other digital tools, works closely with activity teams and committee members to develop and deliver Online Education products.
- Facilitates the development and educational activity planning for AACE Online Skills Certificate Programs. Serves as staff liaison in program management with staff activity team and committee members.
- Works with the Live Learning Manager and the Abstract Review Committee on the abstract program for the Annual Meeting including e-posters, oral abstracts, and e-publications.
- Works on abstract submissions and submission management processes to help ensure proposals meet activity goals.
- Develops and tracks faculty communications, timelines, workflows, and any additional tools needed for project management.
- Design and implement surveys, as well as evaluate overall programs.
- Collaborates and communicates with other AACE departments to ensure educational planning takes multiple stakeholder’s perspectives into consideration. This includes active engagement with areas such as membership, marketing, meetings, IT, and finance.
- Collaborates with the Director of Global Learning and Professional Development to develop and implement assessment strategies and tactics for all assigned educational activities based upon learning objectives and desired level(s) of educational outcomes. Summarizes satisfaction survey data and other educational outcome results, providing interpretation of aggregated results of participants and activity in achieving outcome level(s) and recommendations for future improvements.
- Coordinates timelines for planning educational activities, with milestone reports including financial reports. Facilitates internal and external communications with AACE departments, staff, and committee chairs regarding timelines.
- Interfaces with external vendors to ensure design and delivery of the system functionality and services as needed.
- Supports and provides material that demonstrates compliance with AACE policies and ACCME, ANCC and ABIM MOC accreditation standards. Assists with updating policies, procedures, and forms for documentation of continuing education activities.
- Works collaboratively with AACE and vendor staff and provide direction and support to faculty. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serves as staff liaison for education committees as needed.
- Support live activity team as needed.
