Assistant Dean of Nursing
Position Overview
The Assistant Dean of Nursing is a full-time, 12-month administrative faculty role within the College of Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Reporting to the Dean, this position provides leadership for the Department of Nursing, ensuring excellence in academic programs through administration, teaching, scholarship, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Administration (75%)
- Provide strategic leadership, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Oversee faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, workload assignments, and evaluations.
- Manage department operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and planning.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in didactic and/or clinical nursing courses.
- Enhance nursing curricula with best practices and technology integration.
- Participate in college leadership and university governance.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DNP) in Nursing.
- Active or eligible RN license in Indiana.
- Minimum six years of academic nursing experience at the baccalaureate level, with leadership experience.
- Expertise in faculty management, program administration, accreditation, and curriculum development.
- Preferred experience in budget oversight, strategic planning, and interprofessional collaboration.
