Position Overview
The Assistant Dean of Nursing is a full-time, 12-month administrative faculty role within the College of Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Key Responsibilities
Administration (75%)
- Provide strategic leadership, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Oversee faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, workload assignments, and evaluations.
- Manage department operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and planning.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in didactic and/or clinical nursing courses.
- Enhance nursing curricula with best practices and technology integration.
- Participate in college leadership and university governance.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DNP) in Nursing.
- Active or eligible RN license in Indiana.
- Minimum six years of academic nursing experience at the baccalaureate level, with leadership experience.
- Expertise in faculty management, program administration, accreditation, and curriculum development.
- Preferred experience in budget oversight, strategic planning, and interprofessional collaboration.
