Midwestern University’s Graduate Nursing Programs (GNP) in Glendale, Arizona, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Graduate Nursing Programs include two Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs, two Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs with a concentration in either Adult-Gerontology Primary Care or Nurse Executive, and a Nurse Leadership in Global Health program.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Director and other GNP faculty to develop and teach courses in the DNP and MSN Nurse Leadership programs. The faculty may be asked to teach courses (as applicable and only if within his/her scope) in the MSN Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program as well. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience with curriculum development and teaching in MSN and DNP programs, mentoring students and faculty, and familiarity with graduate nursing program accreditation requirements. Additional faculty responsibilities include scholarly activities, student advisement, and service.
Qualified applicants must possess an unencumbered Arizona registered nursing (RN) license or nursing compact/multi-state privileges, a Ph.D., DNP, or equivalent post-professional doctorate degree, and at least two years of experience as an academic nurse leader.
Applicants should also possess strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and a profound passion for educating future nurse leaders. Salary and benefits are competitive for this tenure-track position.
