Description The Department of Nursing in the School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah University invites applications for a full-time/term-tenure track or clinical track Nursing faculty position. Qualifications: Minimum of Master of Science degree in nursing with appropriate clinical practice certifications; doctoral degree in nursing highly preferred (PhD or DNP) or current enrollment in doctoral study. Graduate preparation in nursing education and certification in nursing education (CNE) are highly preferred. If not doctorally prepared, must commit to a plan to begin doctoral education within five years of hire. Previous didactic and clinical teaching experience preferred. Clinical experience in pediatric nursing is required. Candidate should be committed to excellence in teaching in a Christian liberal arts setting and to ongoing scholarship, service, and practice in nursing. Must have a current, valid professional nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania, or willing to obtain upon hire.Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include teaching in the classroom and clinical nursing settings. Course responsibilities may include Pediatrics, Medical-Surgical, Nursing Research, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and other nursing courses of interest and expertise. Doctorally prepared candidates (PhD or DNP) may have the opportunity to teach graduate-level courses.
