Inaugural Dean, College of Health and Human Services
Empire State University seeks an experienced and accomplished leader to serve as the Inaugural Dean for the College of Health and Human Services. This newly formed college integrates the School of Nursing and Allied Health, Department of Human Services, and Department of Child and Family Studies. The college elevates the university's ability to align education with workforce needs in healthcare, community and human services and will serve more than 2,400 students currently enrolled in its programs.
The Inaugural Dean will lead the strategic vision, academic quality, enrollment management, program development, and external engagement efforts for the college. Essential to this role is the leadership related to guiding institutional innovation and growth, particularly in online education, workforce development, interdisciplinary program expansion as well as commitment to shared governance and faculty and staff success.
The Inaugural Dean will report directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications
- An earned doctorate in Nursing, Allied Health, Human Services, Child and Family Studies, healthcare administration, public health, higher education, curriculum and program development, or a closely related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in higher education, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an academic institution.
- Demonstrated experience in online education, including the development and delivery of online programs.
- Experience managing accreditation processes for nursing or other professional programs.
- Proven success in strategic planning and enrollment growth.
