Note : This position is temporary until approximately June 30, 2025, and offers a part-time schedule of 30 hours per week. This estimated time period may be shortened or lengthened depending on business needs. This temporary position is eligible for benefits.

Position Purpose :

The Creative Associate provides administrative and project support to the Creative Services and UX departments. This position coordinates with team members to ensure project deliverables are created / revised effectively and on schedule. The Creative Associate works with the Creative Partners team to ensure stakeholder needs are identified and met.

Main Accountabilities :

CREATE

Ensures consistent, high-quality design and video assets used in marketing, UX, and communication collateral.

Performs basic level design and video updates, including copy layout, captions, image retouching, graphic layouts, presentation production, web graphics, preparing files for production and similar creative.

Prepares files for production in various formats as appropriate specifications for assets such as : logos, video, social media, signage, brochures, digital & print ads, etc.

Imports and exports design and video assets to internal partners and external vendors.

COLLABORATION

Practices progress-focused skills in groups & in deliverables, including fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Participates in department and partner meetings to identify project and user needs.

Understands and communicates project objectives with team members to create user-based solutions.

TEAM SUPPORT

Works closely with the Creative Partners Manager to evaluate and adjust to team support as necessary.

Coordinates with team members to ensure project deliverables are produced effectively and on schedule.

Ensures timely and effective responses to requests for information or project updates.

Assists Creative Partners and UX team members on creative graphics, video support, and digital design.

Maintains organization and team creative assets at the direction of the Creative Partners Manager.

Skills Required :

Intermediate knowledge in design and video software such as : Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.

Familiarity with Adobe Express, Figma, After Effects, and Premiere.

Understanding of Design and Video best practices.

Understanding of best practices for color formulas, resolution specifications, and final rendering expectations for print and digital formats.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including the ability to present to others.

Knowledge of design / cultural / advertising trends and upkeep of visual specifications on top digital platforms and print production processes.

Video editing basics, cutting video and sound at the direction of Video Producer plus transcription and captioning abilities.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly find creative solutions for issues that may arise.

Time management skills to work efficiently and effectively to complete all necessary projects and deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work independently more than 60%, without close supervision, and within a team

Demonstrated ability to provide consultation or expert advice to management on areas of expertise.

Demonstrated ability to carry out significant assignments, this requires ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regularly.

Exhibits excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Able to identify and analyze problems, use sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions, find alternative solutions to complex problems, and can distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgments.

Demonstrated independent problem-solving and sound decision-making skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills. Proficient in Google Suite.

Education and / or Experience :

Candidates should have a certification in Graphic Design or a related discipline, or possess equivalent professional experience. This foundation ensures a solid grasp of design principles and techniques necessary for the role.

A minimum of two years of design experience is required. This experience should include practical work in graphic design that showcases the ability to create compelling visual content across various mediums.

Applicants must present a portfolio that demonstrates the following :

Strong Design and Video Aesthetic Ability : A clear understanding of visual storytelling and design principles, reflected in the quality of work.

Technical Proficiency : Competence in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and the ability to execute design projects effectively.

Attention to Detail : A meticulous approach to design, ensuring that all elements are cohesive and polished.

Total Compensation :

The target pay range for this role is : $24.95 - $31.18 / hr.
