Job Title: ACE Academic Program Driver
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $17 to $25 per hour (based on experience)Job Overview:
The ACE Academic Program is seeking a reliable and professional driver to transport children in grades K-8 safely to and from our before and after-school academic programs. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that students arrive at their destinations on time and in a secure environment while maintaining a friendly and positive demeanor.Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to and from the ACE Academic Program, following designated routes and schedules.
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks to ensure all transportation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle at all times.
- Build positive rapport with children and ensure their safety during transportation.
- Monitor student behavior on the vehicle to maintain a safe environment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and ACE Academic Program transportation policies.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and program coordinators regarding transportation schedules and updates.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working with children in grades K-8 (preferred but not required).
- Ability to manage and ensure the safety of students during transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions, maintain schedules, and adapt to changes when necessary.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle safely.
- Ability to assist children in entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
