Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management:
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery time.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain and update vendor information and records.
- Purchasing Process:
- Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance.
- Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Coordinate with the receiving department to verify receipt of goods and resolve discrepancies.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or surpluses.
- Place purchase orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
