American Bancshares Mortgage (ABSM) is seeking a highly organized and ambitious Junior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our growing team. As the Junior Mortgage Loan Processor, you will assist in reviewing, organizing, and preparing loan files to submit to the Operations Team. Job Duties:
- Assist in processing residential mortgage loan files from initial application through final approval.
- Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain communication with loan officers, underwriters, and clients throughout the loan process.
- Follow up on outstanding conditions and ensure timelines are met.
- Input and update loan information into Encompass (LOS).
- Ensure all files meet compliance and regulatory guidelines
- Provide general administrative support to the processing team.
- Participate in required company training and continuing education programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to work on-site in our Stewart, FL branch.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in mortgage, real estate, or financial services preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
- Familiarity with Encompass or other LOS platforms is a plus.
- Working knowledge of various fraud tools (DataVerify, Loan Safe Fraud Manager etc.).
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all customers, vendors, and internal ABSM team members.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
