What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer position at American Bath and Shower?
JOB SUMMARY
The Installer performs accurate and neat installation of all ABAS products at the job site, to the customer’s complete satisfaction using the tools and techniques supplied by the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reviews work order/job sheet before leaving for job site; completes necessary paperwork such as time sheet/EOI form.
2. Stocks (company-owned) van of supplies/products needed to complete job requirement/assignment from the warehouse or stockroom.
3. Drives van to and from job site safely.
4. Arrive at each installation and service appointment punctually.
5. Unloads supplies/products/tools for job required from van at the job site.
6. Installs all ABAS products correctly.
7. Re-loads supplies/products/tools from the job site to the van, upon job completion.
8. Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
9. Answer customers’ questions about the care and upkeep of their new installations.
10. Respect customers’ property and leave work area clean.
11. Maintain upkeep and security of the van on a daily basis; unloads trash/scrap pieces from van to dumpster located at ABAS office site.
12. Always wear ABAS uniform on the job, observing rules of good grooming
and hygiene.
13. Take month-end inventory of installation vehicle.
14. Realize the installer’s role as the personal representative of ABAS while in uniform and while driving the van and act accordingly.
15. Takes proper measures to ensure safety.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required
1. Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or GED or equivalent education required.
2. Carpentry and/or trim carpentry and renovation experience required, with the ability to read a tape measure.
3. Plumbing knowledge required.
4. Valid driver’s license and five years’ driving experience.
5. Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
6. Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
7. Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
