Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Savannah, TN. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including customer invoices, payments, and adjustments.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collections and reduce delinquent accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and address any billing issues or disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
- Assist with the month-end closing process and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
