American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Welder in Springboro, Ohio.

Job Summary

The Welder will be responsible for performing finishing Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welds and weld repair work on a manufacturing line where the primary welding is completed in a robotic weld cell. The role involves working with 6000 series aluminum sheet and extruded components, ensuring high-quality cosmetic finishes, and maintaining the integrity of the welded assembly.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding repairs on aluminum sheet metal components.
• Ensure cosmetic quality of welds meets company standards.
• Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the robotic welding team to identify and address any issues with the welding process.
• Conduct regular inspections of welded components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document and report any defects or issues found during inspections.
• Work with the quality control team to develop and implement improvements to the welding process.
• Maintain and troubleshooting welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and tools.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of welding materials and equipment.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in MIG welding, preferably with aluminum sheet metal.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and processes.
• Experience with robotic welding systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
