Job Summary:
To ensure that client’s laundry needs are met in a timely manner. Ensures that laundry is done in a clean and sanitary environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Experience in interfacing with consumers in a service-oriented environment. Experience in or ability and willingness to learn the aspects of institutional laundering. Must be flexible and able to read and follow instructions.
Must be physically able to endure physical labor. Must be familiar with the use and risks of using laundry products.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, lift, push, pull bend, stoop, and walk. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. Ability to use hands to fingers.
Work Environment:
Moderate noise (inpatient residential treatment facility, light to moderate traffic).
ESENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assess need and order laundry supplies as needed.
2. Keep maintenance department informed of any repair needs on a daily basis.
3. Identify the needs of clients and the agency in relation to laundry
4. Maintain a work schedule for laundry services (developed by
Supervisor).
5. Ensure completion of assigned tasks.
6. Maintain cleanliness of work area and surfaces on a continuous basis.
7. Work schedule as assigned.
8. Assess need for laundry-related improvements and projects as well as planning such projects under the direction of your supervisor.
9. To implement the efficient and professional delivery of all laundry activities.
10. To perform assignments in a professional and caring manner.
11. Must be able to take written and/or verbal orders and perform other duties as assigned.
12. Provide support and assistance, if qualified, whenever and wherever needed to assure quality services for ABHS consumers.
13. Responds to the directives of the supervisor and management staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
14. Assures that all ABHS’ clients’ needs are met with dignity and respect and in a timely manner.
15. Makes decisions based on the welfare of the client, the success of the team, and the quality and integrity of the program.
16. Understands and facilitates federal confidentiality laws, 42 CFR, and protects client confidentiality/anonymity, and assures no information is shared without proper authorization.
17. Ensures compliance to contractual obligations, ABHS policies, and State statues (WACs).
