Job Overview:
This role requires a strong tactical operator, who can embrace the true marketing disciplines and rely on others to develop and deliver creative. We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding and passion for the cycling and triathlon markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing companywide go-to-market strategies, and executing impactful promotional campaigns. Proficiency in product marketing, promotional marketing, copywriting, and editing is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Maintain department efficiency through consistent and effective project management organization, cross company communication, and milestone planning.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Assist in development and implementation comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing and product initiatives.
- Product Marketing: Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions. Create marketing collateral and sales tools to support product launches.
- Demand Generation: Plan and execute promotional campaigns across managed marketing channels to ensure sales objectives are met. Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies for optimal results.
- Copywriting and Editing: Craft engaging and persuasive copy for marketing materials, product descriptions, and promotional content. Edit and proofread content to maintain a consistent and professional brand voice.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in the cycling and triathlon sectors. Leverage market insights to make data-driven decisions and enhance brand positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, sales, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive and effective strategies.
- Brand Building: Build and maintain the authority, relevance, and trust of our brands within the cycling and triathlon communities. Develop partnerships and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years experience using project management best practices and technology to enable teams to deliver results on time.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven experience in marketing and product management, preferably in the cycling or triathlon industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for cycling and/or triathlon.
- Previous experience in building and executing successful go-to-market strategies.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels and e-commerce platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
