This role is crucial in amplifying the organization’s message and engaging physicians throughout their certification journey. The ideal candidate will bring creative communication strategies, manage digital content, and help shape engagement touchpoints.

 

Position Overview:

The Marketing and Engagement Specialist is responsible for increasing awareness of the ABEM’s initiatives through various digital media platforms. This new position will play a critical role in engaging stakeholders and managing communication during key certification touchpoints. The role requires expertise in digital media production, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Execute Communication Strategies: Create innovative approaches to communicate the organization’s key messages to diverse audiences.
  • Expand Digital Media Opportunities: Utilize podcasts, blogs, videos, webinars, and social media to share information and engage stakeholders.
  • Enhance Stakeholder Engagement: Lead the development of engagement strategies, map user journeys, and improve touchpoints during certification.
  • Content Creation: Generate compelling content for social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases to enhance awareness and engagement.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Support Sponsorships: Seek opportunities to promote the brand through events, collaborations, and promotional materials.
  • SMS Strategy Development: Implement SMS communications for key audiences.
  • Monitor and Analyze Media: Track media coverage and social analytics to refine strategies.
  • Crisis Communications: Assist in managing the organization’s response to crises, ensuring the protection of brand reputation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related areas.
  • Expertise in content development, project management, and digital media production.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in marketing, customer experience, and social media.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong attention to detail in grammar, spelling, and editing.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with experience in leading media productions and collaborations.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and web platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management, and videoconferencing tools.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with SMS marketing strategies and CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with stakeholder engagement strategies, project workflows, and marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (approximately ten weeks per year).
