Medical Product Manufacturer in Marietta, GA seeks talented CAD designer to participate in the design and production of custom prosthetics. The position will work with retailers, end-users and in-house team members to design one-off custom prostheses based on 3D scans of individual patients. Responsibilities will include determining design parameters from customer / end-user input and collaborating with team members to produce finished prosthetics. This is an excellent opportunity in a rapidly growing division of an established company.
Experience preferred but willing to train
Breast Prosthesis Designer - key skills and duties
-Attention to detail and a high level of workmanship required
-Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision
-Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills
-Excellent communication skills and ability collaborate with team members and clients
-Proficiency with design software in developing finished designs and using real world data
-Knowledge of 3D scanning equipment and methods
-Demonstrated ability for analytical problem solving
-Experience preferred creating 3D CAD designs for transfer to CAM or other rapid prototyping processes.
-Experience preferred designing with organic surfaces.
-Experience taking designs from initial concept to final deliverable design a plus.
-Experience with ISO13485, CE, and FDA regulations a plus
-Other duties in research projects or design support as assigned.
