Launch your career in the exciting and creative print and promotional products industry a SOS Apprentice. In this program you will receive in-depth training which will enable you to guide and support ASB Sales Associates and their customers with account management processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sales/Customer Relationship Support:

  • Partner with Sales Associates to qualify sales opportunities and to strategize the best way to build a program based on the needs of the Associate and customer.
  • Work with sales associates in the development of customer proposals, presentations, and responses to RFIs and RFP's.
  • Assist with customer presentations and eCommerce demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with home office departments to complete customer registrations.
  • Facilitate the discovery process with Sales Associates and customers for eCommerce sites.
    • Discuss customer needs and eStore options.
    • Capture key information required for successful program implementation.
    • Brainstorm solutions to overcome obstacles.
    • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure programs are implemented within the agreed scope and timeframes.
  • Create user tutorials and training material to assist with the launch of eCommerce sites.
  • Work with Sales Associates and their customers to conduct regular reviews to assess goals/objectives and to identify upsell/cross sell opportunities.

Other Project Support:

  • Complete focused training (up to 8 weeks) with each the following internal Home Office departments:
    • ACES Support: Gain a deeper understanding of the backend operations of ACES, including site setup, ticket management, and the Sales Associate Admin Portal.
    • Operations (PS 9.2): Learn key account management functions such as order entry, inventory management, running reports, sourcing orders, creating product proofs, and preparing quotes.
    • Inventory: Understand end-to-end inventory processes, including entering and managing orders, coordinating warehouse receipts, and learning about storage, shipping, and specialized distribution services.
    • Acquisitions & Transitions: Develop knowledge of ASB Agreements for onboarding new Sales Associates, including reviewing incoming accounts and defining ACES requirements.
    • Product Support/Vendor Relations: Receive training on the Partners for Progress (PFP) vendor program, the vendor directory, and tools for vendor and product sourcing.
    • Expanded Services: Shadow account managers to understand their role in supporting and collaborating with Sales Associates.

Education and/or Experience

Required: High School Diploma with a minimum of three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Associate degree in marketing, sales or other business-related field with one-two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, auditors and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Must be proficient in performing detailed numerical computations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Additional Skills and Abilities

Must have proven project management and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate ideas and strategies into functional solutions. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel is required. Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail. Must be flexible and able to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing work environment with aggressive deadlines.

Other Qualifications

Occasional overnight travel is required; must possess valid driver's license.
