Job Summary:

Responsible for providing general labor, assistance, and support to the aerial and underground installation crews in the North Eastern United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with pulling fiber cable reel for placement of aerial and underground cables.
• Drive and operate company vehicles
• Keep all work areas neat, clean, and organized at all times
• Keep unauthorized individuals away from the work area
• Stock trucks and trailers with supplies and materials
• Assist in maintaining that all company equipment is in proper working order
• Use of various hand and power tools, working with small components and operating various equipment such as bucket trucks, lashers, rollers, and reel trailers.
• Verify proper grounding of the line truck
• Potentially assist lineman in a second bucket while working on lines
• Be able to operate bucket truck in emergency mode if necessary
• All other duties assigned by the line supervisor

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write and communicate with others effectively and promptly.
• Ability to make sound decisions consistent with job duties
• Ability to work any scheduled shift and under various weather conditions
• Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged sitting, and standing
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds required
• Ability to work from ladders and other heights required
• Ability to work with both arms overhead for extended time periods
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as manholes.
• Must be willing to travel away from home overnight

Education/Experience/Specialized Training/Licensing:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (Required)
• OSHA 10-hour course (Preferred)
• Flagger Training (Preferred)
• Possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record (Required)
• CDL (Preferred)

Pay: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
