What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post-doctoral Fellow, Health Services Research position at American Cancer Society, Inc.?

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize APIs to access social media data and places/foot traffic data, including but not limited to crowdfunding sites (e.g. gofundme), twitter, safegraph, google map, transportation data.
- Prepare and analyze social media data to evaluate cancer related research topics: e.g. impact of COVID19 on receipt of cancer treatments (twitter data).
- Perform natural language processing tasks to understand cancer survivorship.
- Conduct literature reviews, assist in developing research proposals and participate in scientific manuscript writing.
- Prepare tables and figures for scientific presentations.
- Lead or co-lead a research project in cancer disparities.
REQUIRED:
- Doctoral student with data science background (3 years of data analysis experience).
- Python programming skills in a computer science environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Organizational and interpersonal skills are plus.
PREFERRED:
- Web-scraping and text mining methods, machine learning techniques, and statistical analyses software; experiences in large datasets and graph/mapping visualizations.
