What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner position at American Canoe Association Camp?
Job begins Monday May 5th and ends Monday, October 13th, 2025.
Looking for a Cleaner to work one morning a week - every Monday starting no earlier than 9 am each week. Small buildings to be cleaned: two bathrooms and four cottages. Cleaning will require 2-6 hours total to complete each week.
We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our open-air bathrooms and rustic cottages and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply two bathrooms (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning sinks, toilets and showers, taking out garbage)
- Clean, stock and supply four rustic cabins (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning counters, emptying refrigerators and wiping them down, taking out garbage)
- Notify management of needed supplies
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a cleaner
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to drive to campground location in Harriman State Park, NY - 3 miles from Sloatsburg, NY
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
