American Cargo Group, an industry-leading trailer manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled individual with a proven record of success to join our team as an Office Administrator. We are looking for someone to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. This role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.
Office Administrator responsibilities include providing Human Resources support including payroll and benefits, administrative support to all plant/office employees, and assist with Manufacturing and Sales support functions. Previous experience as a front office manager or office administrator would be a plus. A successful office administrator should also have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets, and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties.
Ultimately, the Office Administrator should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operations.
The Office Administrator will:
Provide Human Resources support
All on-site HR duties (payroll, time keeping, on-boarding, etc.)
New Hire paperwork and E-verification
Assist in maintaining safety records
Handle work comp cases and maintain OSHA logs
Prepare termination paperwork / files
Process employee insurance paperwork, 401k paperwork, and payroll changes
Assist with employee questions / concerns
Process paperwork for Operations
Order office supplies
Assist with inventory
Provide a high level of administrative support to the General Manager and Plant Manager as needed
Create and maintain all electronic and hard-copy correspondence and files as requested by General Manager
Maintain cleanliness of office areas
Qualifications
- Proven office experience in administrative and clerical roles
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with office management and scheduling
- Experience with bookkeeping
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and payroll processes
- Knowledge of office management and team management
- Proficient in handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
