Join our team as a Records Manager and play a key role in managing the development, storage, and retention of organizational records for AMERICAN Ductile Iron Pipe (ADIP) and AMERICAN Steel Pipe (ASP) Divisions. This position is integral to the coordination and administration of document and record control programs to maintain our ISO and API certifications. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who excels in a structured environment, works cross-functionally with various departments, and ensures compliance with retention standards for continued success in our Quality Management System (QMS).
Ideal Candidate
- Compliance Champion: Manages the development, storage, retention of records, policies, and processes within the QMS to meet ISO and API certification requirements. (Experience with ISO9001 or other QMS is preferred)
- Organized Leader: Coordinates the document and record control programs, ensuring adherence to established retention and compliance standards.
- Team Player: Partners with teams across the Company to uphold records management practices and ensure records are retained and destroyed according to legal, ISO, and API standards.
- Collaborative Facilitator: Works closely with Quality, HR, Risk Management, Legal, and other stakeholders to align records management efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Engaging Trainer: Appoints and educates department record contacts to ensure company-wide compliance with retention schedules and document control procedures.
- Process Improvement Advocate: Leads process improvements related to records management, driving efficiency and ensuring consistency across all divisions.
- Systems Expert: Oversees and manages the implementation of records management software, providing training and ongoing support.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), Business Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited four-year university. Graduate degrees such as Library and Information Studies (MLIS), Management Information Systems (MS) or related field will be considered if the bachelor's degree is not in a related field.
OR
- 4 years of experience working with organizational records in relation to storage, compliance, and management of these records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with records management software.
