Job Description
This part-time paid internship provides direct experience with practical R&D in a small-company entrepreneurial setting. The ideal candidate will support our scientific team in evaluating the relevance of ongoing university research to our objectives, developing bioinformatics databases, and conducting analysis projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate student in a plant-science related field with a GPA of 3
- Capacity to efficiently synthesize and summarize ideas & data
- Experience in statistical genetics and rare variant analysis
- Ideal experience in analyzing and interpreting next generation sequencing data, particularly in DNA and RNA-seq
- Horticulture, forestry, or agriculture experience a plus
