This is an exciting opportunity to work on the vanguard of genomic plant science and ecology. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the revival of the American chestnut tree, assisting in various tasks such as evaluating research papers, developing a bioinformatics database, and participating in analysis projects. You will also help test hypotheses and validate statistical findings via lab and field experiments.
Requirements:
We are looking for a graduate student in a plant-science related field who has completed at least one year of graduate studies with a GPA of 3. You should have experience in statistical genetics and rare variant analysis, and ideally, experience in analyzing and interpreting next generation sequencing data, particularly in DNA and RNA-seq.
