What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Maintenance Superintendent position at AMERICAN CASTINGS, LLC?
Direct the work, people, and results of the Maintenance Department by setting goals, organizing and assigning work, training employees, evaluating employees and maintaining a productive work environment. Develop and maintain an effective machinery maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, which minimizes production down time. Work closely with Production Control and Manufacturing Departments to schedule maintenance and/or repairs at appropriate times. Organize, plan and assign work to maintenance employees which ensures the most favorable repair costs, quality of work, and minimizes production schedule interruption consistent with production. Develop short and long-term plans relating to operating costs, labor requirements, equipment replacement, equipment overhaul, and plant shutdowns. Direct and indirect supervision of 3 shifts of maintenance including supervision. Ensure that all company policy’s and safety procedures and regulations are followed. Seeking a highly organized, forward thinking, team oriented and production minded person with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment with a strong electrical/automation background.
