This position is title After Hours Operations Coordinator. This position does require the associate to work a flexible schedule as needed on our first and second shift.
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for managing after-hours operations and emergency situations for American Central Transport’s company and contract drivers. The coordinator will oversee the entire driver fleet and customer needs, ensuring timely issue resolution, proactive monitoring of on-time service, and effective management of maintenance and safety concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate load requirements to Business Leaders and Customer Service.
- Collaborate with Business Leaders to address driver needs.
- Accurately update inbound messages via phone and Qualcomm, including Load and Empty Calls, ETA/PTA updates, etc.
- Notify Business Leaders, Operations Managers, and the Vice President of Operations about incorrect ETA/PTA and RDO information.
- Report driver retention concerns to the Driver Relations Manager, Business Leader, and the ACT Retention Team.
- Ensure all drivers acknowledge dispatch instructions.
- Provide a detailed nightly/weekend handoff list highlighting key issues or concerns.
- Assign and dispatch loads while adhering to hours-of-service regulations.
- Ensure drivers complete Qualcomm messaging to support billing accuracy and accessorial charge payments.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to customers.
- Monitor potential service failures and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
- Address and resolve driver and customer issues efficiently.
- Handle maintenance and safety concerns as they arise, informing the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor customer tenders via email and EDI, coordinating with the respective Customer Service Representative or Manager for specific accounts.
- Maintain proper documentation of accidents and incidents occurring after hours.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred).
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in truckload operations, military leadership, or a management role in a related field.
- Familiarity with AS400 systems is a plus.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
