Overview
AutoResponsibilities
- Apply expertise as a full diagnostic technician to complete complex automotive repairs
- Diagnose & repair all categories: cooling, electrical, brakes, steering, suspension, etc.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete detailed preventative maintenance reports using digital visual inspections.
- Maintain communication with the service department to keep customers informed.
- Interface with customers to explain repair orders in detail, if needed
- Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including protocols for hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- 5 years prior experience working as a mechanic/technician in an automotive shop
- Advanced automotive diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Have necessary set of tools to perform repairs & maintenance
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
- Efficiently navigate a computer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
