Position Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Policy Officer (CPO), the Senior Executive Assistant will facilitate management, organization, and operations within the Policy department. This role will provide high-level administrative support to the CPO, coordinate efforts within the Policy team, and collaborate with other departments, including Advocacy, Communications, Membership and Operations. The Senior Executive Assistant's primary focus will be 1 : 1 support to the CPO but they will also be responsible for maintaining organizational efficiency and supporting the execution of strategic policy initiatives within the department.
The Senior EA will interact with all levels of staff within ACP and with key external stakeholders and members. Excellent communication skills, professionalism, organizational skills and a desire to learn the industry are necessary attributes for this position.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

- Provide 1 : 1 administrative support to the CPO, including managing the CPO's calendar, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
- Assist CPO in preparing for internal and external meetings which includes both collecting necessary information and research and helping to create briefings, memos, talking points, and presentations.
- Prepare and maintain materials for Board meetings, policy briefings, and other senior leadership discussions.
- Develop meeting agendas, capture action items, and follow up to ensure completion of key deliverables within the Policy department or with relevant projects.
- Provide logistical and organizational support for key policy events, such as conferences, congressional briefings, or roundtable discussions.
- Maintain policy-related materials, ensuring all files and documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Serve as a liaison between the Policy department and other teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across departments.
- Coordinate and track progress on key policy initiatives and special projects.
- Support the onboarding of new Policy team staff, ensuring they are familiar with policies and procedures.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of systems, tools, and practices to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.

Job Conditions
We are a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high-level work demands and independent decision-making under tight timelines. Occasional travel outside of the Washington, DC area for meetings or events may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. ACP will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
We reasonably believe that the base salary range for this position is $95,000 - 115,000. At ACP, a wide range of factors are considered when making compensation decisions including and not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, knowledge, and other business and organizational needs.
