What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician I position at AMERICAN CLEANERS & LAUNDRY, INC.?
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Janitorial Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You must be adaptable, with the ability to work flexible hours and a "Can Do!" attitude. You’ll interact effectively with upper management, staff, and a wide range of personalities.
A proactive approach when anticipating, planning and engaging preventative maintenance needs. You will demonstrate both independence and teamwork maintaining a safe, clean workspace. You should be comfortable taking direction and working with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain, repair, and clean mechanical equipment and areas.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of operation are well kept and free of debris
- Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchen, and common work areas
- Clean and stock designated areas with required supplies
- Sweep floors and dust areas
- Take the trash out to the larger dumpster
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Perform minor repairs if needed
- Notify supervisor or management team if any major repairs need to take place
Qualifications
- Previous experience is REQUIRED
- General knowledge of repair and maintenance of industrial machinery
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery as needed
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Ability to work well with limited supervision
