The American College of Radiology (ACR) IT team is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join the application development team as an Application DevOps Engineer. The intern will work closely in a collaborative application development environment to gain hands-on professional development and mentorship experience in the field of developing complex and various applications
Responsibilities:
- Participate in technical meetings.
- Collaborate with internal dev teams to publish the software development artifacts and documentation to the central dev hub.
- Organize the software documentation within the central dev hub for readability effectiveness.
- Work with platforms such as Sitecore to develop a microsite for publishing software documentation.
- Help the development team to create the application inventory.
- Serve as a liaison for the application development team in coordinating and maintaining the application details.
- Explore tools and platforms for an effective app inventory management and software documentation publish.
- Develop documentation and the guidelines for maintaining the central dev hub.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Enrolled full-time and carrying a 3.0 GPA
- Good understanding of the software development life cycle and the DevOps CI/CD process.
- Familiarity and good knowledge with cloud computing technologies in Azure or AWS.
- Basic understanding of the agile development methodologies like Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Exposure to programming languages and tools such as GitHub, Confluence, Jira, JellyFish etc. or similar.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Work as part of a team and individually.
- Reliable, creative and mature
- Eager to learn, self-driven and take initiative
What to Expect
- We will be conducting interviews beginning in March
- Our intention is to extend an offer for this opportunity by mid-April
- Interns will join the team on May 19th and conclude their experience on August 8th

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy. ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably. Interns work a 32.5 hour work week, from 5/19/25 – 8/8/25, with every Friday afternoon off! Depending on class level, a reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00.
