What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
- Coordinate and perform inspections of moorings and barges to identify damage, water accumulation, or cargo spillage, ensuring timely repairs.
- Operate work boats safely, following Rules of the Road navigation standards.
- Communicate with vessel crews and logistics teams to track incoming / outgoing barges and identify maintenance needs.
- Monitor barge drafts and maintain comprehensive logs of fleet and vessel inspections.
- Inspect and maintain all equipment, including safety gear, PPE, and essential deck supplies.
- Prepare barges for loading / unloading operations and ensure they are in safe, operable condition.
- Operate a variety of equipment safely, including forklifts, Bobcats, dozers, and back / track hoes.
- Conduct regular inspections of the fleet, document discrepancies, and report issues to appropriate stakeholders.
