What this Position Does : The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure that all goods and services meet our high standards of quality.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing :
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
Collaborate with onsite, accounting, and centralized teams to align procurement with business goals
Ensure timely, accurate order placements and proactively address potential delays
Maintain precise records of procurement activities, including contracts and invoices
Generate reports on metrics, supplier performance, and cost analysis for management
Utilize advanced analytical tools to examine market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications Involved with the Position : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
What Education and / or Experience You Will Bring to the Table : No prior experience required; suitable for candidates eager to start a career in procurement or supply chain; Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset; Basic proficiency in Google Workspace; familiarity with procurement or ERP systems is a plus; Relevant coursework, internships, or volunteer experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
Communication Skills Involved with the Position : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi.
Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table : Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
