Conservation Biology Intern - Join Our Team at American Conservation Experience - EPIC and contribute to the conservation of threatened and endangered species.
As an Invasive Species Removal Fellow, you will play a critical role in our mission to protect and conserve native wildlife. Working closely with our experienced staff, you will remove invasive species, conduct biological monitoring, and assist with endangered species trapping.
You will gain hands-on experience in invasive species management, conservation biology, and habitat restoration. Additionally, you will participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in these areas.
About the Project:
- Removal of invasive species using various mechanical and chemical methods.
- Conducting biological monitoring to assess the impact of invasive species on native ecosystems.
- Assisting with endangered species trapping and handling.
You will be based at the Kern National Wildlife Refuge Complex and will work independently, with minimal supervision, while also being part of a collaborative team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
