American Consultants is looking for the Chief Financial Officer for a critical access hospital 45 minutes north of Manhattan, KS
A growing and financially stable critical access hospital, located in the central Midwest with $33M in net patient revenue.
The hospital operates five rural health clinics, provides hospice care, and has a wellness center. A current construction project will expand the primary care clinic located at the hospital site by adding 11 patient rooms, a procedure room, and 2,000 square feet for behavioral health services. There are approximately 300 employees and over 125 credentialed medical providers.
The CFO directs and supervises the financial management of the entire organization including hospital accounting, patient financial services, health information management, and materials management. The CFO is also responsible for the annual budget and annual audit. The CFO serves on the Executive Committee and is integral in the strategic development and performance of the organization. Direct reports include a Controller, Accountant, Revenue Cycle Director, A / P Clerk, and three patient accounting staff members.
The appropriate candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (master's is preferred), at least five years accounting and finance experience within a critical access hospital setting, and rural health clinic knowledge. Must have excellent communication skills and a leadership style that is characterized by collaboration and being visible to staff.
The community has a population of just over 4,000 and is located 35 miles from a major university town with all amenities (including airport) and a population of over 50,000.
