What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Recruiter position at American Contracting & Environmental Services?
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Campus Recruiter to lead our university recruitment efforts, internship program, and other early talent initiatives focused on civil and mechanical engineering students as well as craft positions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Campus Recruiting Efforts – Develop and maintain partnerships with top engineering and craft programs, attend career fairs, and establish a strong employer presence.
- Oversee Internship Program – Enhance ACE's current internship experience that prepares students for careers in wastewater treatment construction.
- Expand Early Talent Programs – Enhance and manage co-op programs, rotational programs, and entry-level hiring initiatives to build a strong pipeline of engineering and craft talent.
- Manage the Full Recruitment Cycle – Source, interview, and select top candidates for internships, co-ops, and entry-level roles.
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers – Work closely with engineering teams to identify talent needs and ensure early-career hires receive meaningful, on-site project experience.
- Plan & Host Engagement Events – Organize campus workshops, info sessions, and networking events to attract and retain top talent.
- Leverage Handshake for Recruiting – Utilize joinhandshake.com to connect with students, post job opportunities, and manage campus outreach.
- Monitor Program Success – Track intern and early talent program performance, collect feedback, and optimize future recruiting efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3 years in campus recruiting, talent acquisition, or university relations, preferably in engineering or technical fields.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering programs and recruiting best practices.
- Proficiency with Handshake: Experience using joinhandshake.com for university engagement and talent acquisition.
- Strong Relationship Builder: Ability to connect with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
- Program Development Experience: Background in designing and managing early-career development programs.
- Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel to universities and project sites along the East Coast.
