Waste Water Trade Foreman

We are looking to add a capable, resourceful and hardworking Mechanical or Concrete Trade Foreman. You’ll be placed with a highly functional team at a construction site in the Richmond area. This position requires great initiative, team working, flexibility, quick learning, superb communication and problem solving skills.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide direct management of our workforce primarily focused on one of our self-perform trades
(Earthwork, Concrete, Process Mechanical). Supervise a crew of 4-8 tradesmen and laborers ensuring that work is being installed correctly, productively, and in a safe manner. Receive regular direction from the Superintendent on work tasks and schedule. Provide leadership to crew members which sets a good example for all areas of work performance. Work collaboratively with the Superintendent to insure the crew has the necessary materials, tools, & equipment to perform the work in a productive manner. Understand and enforce company safety policies so that his crew works safely without injuries. This position reports directly to the Superintendent.

GENERAL DUTIES:

1. Assist the Superintendent in setting up the jobsite trailer and connect all utilities
2. Locate existing & future underground utilities by checking & coordinating with utility companies.
3. Assist the Superintendent in establishing and/or checking benchmarks, staking property corners and structure locations.
4. Supervise crew members on a continuous basis
5. Coordinate with the Superintendent to understand how to properly install the work
6. Inform the Superintendent when equipment, tools and materials are needed.
7. Diligently insure that crew members show up on time, work a full 8 hour day, and adhere to lunch & break time limits
8. Understand labor productivity budget and goals for assigned work tasks
9. Perform work consistent with the highest quality standards and minimize/eliminate need for rework
10. Provide a safe work environment for crew members
11. Comply with OSHA regulations
12. Enforce ACE safety policies
13. Maintain a clean work area
14. Maintain equipment in safe operating order and routinely inspect equipment for wear & proper maintenance procedures.
15. Report anticipated special risks to Superintendent.
16. Maintain a good relationship with the Inspectors, Subcontractors, and Job Staff.
17. Complete punch list work
18. Demobilize ACE trailer and equipment from jobsite

Must have 3 years experience building construction projects as Crew Leader or Trade Foreman. Should have experience on water and wastewater or industrial construction projects.
