We are currently seeking a Welding and NDE Quality Specialist to join our high-performing quality team and help ensure our projects meet the highest standards in the nuclear, defense, and aerospace industries.

What You’ll Do:
Welding Program Management:
- Develop and review WPS, PQR, and WQTR to meet ASME/AWS standards.
- Lead technical oversight of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW welding processes.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory welding requirements.
- Coach and support welders in process improvement and training initiatives.
NDE Program Oversight:
- Provide oversight and training for NDE methods including VT, UT, MT, and PT.
- Develop and maintain procedures, acceptance criteria, and inspection plans.
- Interpret NDE results and maintain compliance with nuclear safety and quality standards.
- Audit external NDE providers and subcontractors.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NAVSEA, MIL-STD, and aerospace specs.
- Oversee product and process compliance across all fabrication activities.
Supplier and Material Quality:
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to qualify welding/NDE processes.
- Resolve non-conformance issues and ensure traceability throughout the fabrication lifecycle.
Leadership & Documentation:
- Mentor and guide quality technicians and inspectors.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, prepare audit reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Welding Engineering preferred OR current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ASNT Level III.
- 5–7 years of quality experience in manufacturing or machinery fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear/defense industry quality standards.
Certifications (required or preferred):
- AWS CWI
- ASNT Level II or III in UT, MT, PT (RT is a plus)
- Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 and ISO 9001
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of NDT techniques and welding inspection.
- Familiarity with CAD systems, inspection tools, and material tracking.
