We are a fast-growing company seeking a qualified Traveling Refractory Technicians for refractory of new and existing cremation equipment of all makes and models. This position will require travel throughout the country. This includes overnight travel on a weekly basis (up to 14 days at a time max) Hours vary by job with possibility of overtime. Employee will be eligible for full benefits. Candidate must be flexible. Candidate must be highly dependable, have a good work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, enjoys working independently, and be willing to learn all aspects of the industry and position.
Job Duties:
- Organization of material, supplies, and equipment.
- Demolition of refractory and insulation.
- Construction of Forms.
- Proper mixing of Castables and Mortars.
- Organization of workspace.
- Proper operation of mixer, saws, hand tools
- Work in a team of two in the field
Work Experience Requirements:
- Construction experience a Plus but not necessary
- Must know how to read a tape measure.
- Masonry experience a plus but not necessary
- Must be able to Adapt and Overcome challenging situations.
- Must have Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Demand:

Mental Requirements:
- Understand & carry out oral instruction

- Read & interpret detailed prints, sketches, layouts, specifications etc.
- Use measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, rules, weight scales, where reading is direct and obvious.
- Use hand power tools, non-power head tools such as hammers, wrenches, etc.
- Assemble or disassemble objects.
- Work as member of team
**Regarding Travel: 14 days away from home base, is typically the longest one will be out in the field.
**Per diem is supplied. All travel arrangements and travel related fees are taken care of by American Crematory Equipment Co.
Wages & Benefits:
- $23/hr min (DOE)
- Health insurance after 60 days.
- Paid Vacation after 1 year of employment.
- No out-of-pocket expense for travel to employee.
- Per diem is provided.
- If a technician is based out of state, we fly them to CA for training prior to be assigned to in field jobs.
