Summary of essential Job functions -
- Follow all shop and material handling safety practices to ensure a secure work environment.
- Move materials and products throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks in coordination with the Shipping and Receiving departments.
- Utilize overhead cranes and other lifting equipment as required to transport materials safely.
- Monitor and manage internal scrap bins, ensuring they are emptied as needed.
- Remove unused stock, skids, and other unnecessary materials from the building to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
- Assist all work centers by efficiently moving products through the facility to support production needs.
Summary of secondary Job functions
- Provide additional backup support for the Shipping and Receiving departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall facility operations.
Qualifications required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision while staying productive and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive attitude and adaptability in changing work conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with employees, vendors, and drivers.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
