Summary/Objective
American Digital Security, a proud member of Kingsmark Security Group, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing the company’s financial operations. This hands-on role is responsible for generating the monthly close, producing accurate financial reports, and partnering with internal teams to ensure financial clarity and alignment with company goals. You’ll work closely with leadership across the organization to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Along with helping with on-boarding of new acquisitions as the company continues to grow.
Responsible for supporting the company's financial operations with a strong emphasis on technical accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement. This role requires proven expertise in ERP systems management, including implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
Essential Functions

- Directly manage and execute the monthly close process in accordance with established timelines
- Prepare and compile comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages for Controller review
- Ensure financial records are in compliance with GAAP and support the Controller with the external audit
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain strong internal accounting controls and procedures
- Analyze project installations for financial accuracy and business impact
- Review Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports to ensure accurate revenue and inventory reporting
- Generate and present weekly cash forecasts across all entities to the Controller
- Manage intercompany transactions, including inventory movement, invoicing, and banking
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and manage budget-to-actual performance throughout the year
- Conduct sales and use tax research and ensure timely filings
- Provide fiscal insight to leadership and advise on financial strategies and procedures
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information
- Support internal and external audits and participate in continuous process improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This position operates in a standard office setting. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience. Experience in construction and project accounting a plus. CPA Preferred.
