KEY OBJECTIVE(S):The main purpose of the Rides Maintenance Manager is:
- Control, direct, and organize the personnel and resources as assigned within the Ride Maintenance department.
- Develop, implement, maintain and monitor, the operating, capital, and annual budgets.
- Establish and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best results for American Dream and working relationships with vendors, contractors, and manufacturers
- Ensure all facilities and work environments are safe for guest and Team Member.
- Develop, in conjunction with Planner/Schedule and supervisors, the preventive maintenance program, adhering to all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the safety of the entire maintenance department, ensuring the department is help accountable for training requirements and the facilitation of all American Dream policies.
- Monitor all capital projects within Nickelodeon Universe, ensuring compliance to time and budget.
- Create effective systems to reduce and eliminate downtime of all rides and attractions within Nickelodeon Universe.
- Provide guidance to management staff to ensure a positive work environment for all members of the maintenance organization.
- Develops the training program in conjunction with the training supervisor, monitoring adherence and compliance to all training.
- Oversees the Ride Mastery Sign-off (RMS) to ensure technicians are being trained effectively.
- Owns the maintenance employee recognition system.
- Inspect and repair rides and attractions located within Nickelodeon Universe on an emergency basis.
- Monitor purchasing and support purchasing system for proper spend to budget.
- Process time and attendance reports and submit to the payroll department for processing.
- Support all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Lead by example, providing a positive atmosphere for guests and team members alike.
- Work as a team to bring Nickelodeon Universe to life.
- Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two-year technical degree with accompanying 4 years' experience OR minimum 5-7 years' experience in a technical field.
- NAARSO or AIMS certification (or must obtain within 2 years of employment)
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience including responsibility for interviewing, training, scheduling, discipline, and performance management for a staff of at least four subordinates.
- Effective reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
- Proficient use of computer utilizing work processing and database software.
- Specific knowledge of principles and practices of rides, facility, and equipment maintenance.
- General knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines; hydraulics, welding, machining, plumbing, carpentry, electronics, and refrigeration.
- Proficiency skills in both verbal and written communications.
- Proficient interpersonal, organizational, project management, computer and training skills required.
