Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong interest in the culinary field. As a Counter Person, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional experience for our customers while efficiently handling their orders and inquiries.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections and recommendations.
• Take customer orders accurately using the Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide change as necessary.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or quick service fast food restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow effectively.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $10.01 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
