What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at American & Efird?
This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description):
- work safely in a fast-paced, team structured manufacturing environment
- meet or exceed company quality standards
- maintain regular and predictable attendance
- comply with company processes and procedures
- follow verbal and written instructions
- load and unload trucks
- opening bales of fiber and putting them in a laydown
- operating waste balers, bagging & tagging for tracking purposes
- issue raw materials
- utilize fork lift, pallet jack, pen & pencil, retractable knife, package handler, calculator
- must be able to read, write and speak English
- drive box truck on site between the two plants
- safety shoes and hearing protection is required
- stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while handling material or products
- work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
- perform job duties in variable temperatures based on weather conditions (including hot weather)
- ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- successfully complete drug and background screenings
